A French judge has agreed to investigate three African heads of state for corruption. Anti-corruption activist call the decision to try sitting Presidents Omar Bongo Ondimba of Gabon, Denis Sassou Nguesso of Congo and Teodoro Obiang Nguema of Equatorial Guinea ‘historic’. On Monday, 6 April 2009, 15 years have passed after the launch of the genocide in Rwanda. Commemorations will take place in the Central African country, but also in Berlin and in other cities around the world.
